No translation can ever do justice to this subtle line infused with so many different meanings and emotions. Literally, "Yin Ai Er Sheng" means: Because we love, we live. Because we care, we act.
But what this phrase and all its layers of meaning manages to capture for a native Mandarin speaker can best be described as a feeling ¨C the simple act of a person giving freely and expecting nothing in return:
